Jeremy Novy

Jeremy Novy is a street artist from San Francisco. He was in Atlanta for Living Walls 2013 where he placed his street koi on various sidewalks. He studied at Pecks School of the Arts in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He does stencils because he wants his work to have a larger message that everyone can understand. The idea of doing koi came to him after he studied in China for 3 years. In addition he has a birth mark on his forehead much like the marks on the koi and their black and orange color is that of the San Francisco Giants. Outside of the koi, Jeremy is involved in what he calls sub pop culture since most stencils deal with pop culture. This sub pop culture he talks about is queer culture which he would like to see gain more acceptance. In addition to the koi he put out in different places around the city, there are also some boots on the sidewalk outside the Atlanta Eagle. I have seen the koi at the corner of Decatur and Krog, in Little 5 Points, and on Edgewood Ave.
